Dolphins great Jason Taylor hired as a DE coach for Miami Hurricanes
Miami Hurricanes hired ex-Dolphins legendary star Jason Taylor as a defensive ends (DE) coach. Jason Taylor was the NFL 2000's All-Decades Team member and a former Miami-Dolphins star.

Player turned coaches
Many Miami Dolphins players of the 1990s and 2000s turned to coaches through football to the present day. Sam Madison assists Dolphins as a cornerbacks coach, Patrick Surtain became the defensive backs coach after leaving the Dolphins offseason, and now Jayson Taylor has taken his role as a defensive ends coach for the Miami Hurricanes, according to Susan Miller Degnan of Miami Herald.
He coached at St. Thomas Aquinas High School for five seasons, including his role as a defensive coordinator for two years. He also joined Mario Cristobal's staff in 2022 as a defensive analyst.
In 2017, the six-time Pro Bowler was elected to the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame, earned the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2007, and was named Defensive Player of the Year of NFL in 2006.
He was drafted by the Dolphins in the 3rd round in 1997 and had 3 stints with the team during 1997-2007, 2009, and 2011. Jason Taylor retired in the 2011 season.
