The color of your confidence: What are you wearing into your next season?

If your confidence was a color, what would it be?

For me, it depends on the message I want to deliver that day. I wear red when I want to feel powerful — when I need to remind myself of my strength, or when I’m feeling a little off and need that immediate pick-me-up energy. Red shifts something in me. It activates boldness.

I wear pink when I host my workshops. Pink feels approachable, warm, relatable — but still strong. It allows me to connect while staying feminine and powerful at the same time.

That’s the magic of color. The shades you choose don’t just reflect how you feel — they can actually influence your mood and energy. That’s why I always tell people: put on your red Yli Beauty lipstick and step into the world. Watch how your posture changes. Watch how your voice sounds stronger. Color is psychological. It’s emotional. It’s powerful.

March is Women’s History Month. It’s a time to celebrate the women who came before us — but it’s also a time to ask yourself: what history are you writing for yourself?

Don’t allow others to define your story. Don’t shrink your presence. Choose the color that makes you happy. Choose the color that makes you smile when you look in the mirror. Choose the color that reflects the woman you are becoming.

Here’s a simple guide to what different colors communicate:

  • Red → power, courage, leadership
  • Pink → compassion, femininity, bold softness, happiness
  • Green → renewal, growth, creativity
  • Yellow → happiness, positivity
  • White → clarity, reset, new beginnings
  • Black → authority and sophistication — but depending on your energy, it can also communicate protection, hiding, or emotional heaviness

What color are you choosing — and what is it saying about you?

Sometimes the colors we wear reflect our mood. Other times, they reveal what we’ve been tolerating. Your image is a reflection of how you’re feeling inside.

Stop shrinking yourself.

Stop tolerating disrespect.

Stop repeating emotional patterns that no longer serve you.

Dress today like the woman you’re becoming — not the woman you’re settling for. It’s about:

  • Dressing like you deserve respect
  • Dressing like you’re confident
  • Dressing like you’re stepping into the best version of yourself — growth
  • Dressing like you’re no longer accepting less

I also understand that sometimes you don’t even know what colors truly flatter you. You may be wearing shades that make you look tired, emphasize redness in your skin, or dull your natural glow. The right color should illuminate your face and enhance your natural beauty.

Pro Tip from Your Image Consultant: Stand in front of the mirror in natural light. Hold different colors near your face. Notice which one makes your eyes brighter and your energy stronger. The one that makes you feel unstoppable? That’s your power color.

And if you’re ready to truly understand what works for you — from color analysis to wardrobe strategy — investing in professional guidance can transform not just your closet, but your confidence.

This month, don’t just transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. Transition your mindset. Choose your color intentionally. Wear it boldly.

Write your history in full color.

Yli’s monthly style note

This Month’s Fashion & Beauty Tip: Before you buy something new for spring, look inside your closet and build one bold look around a single power color. One statement piece. One intentional shade. Confidence is not about quantity — it’s about clarity.

Next month, we’ll talk about how to edit your wardrobe like a stylist.

A personal dedication

I want to dedicate this article to every woman who has been second-guessing herself — when I know the power she carries. To the woman who questions her voice, her beauty, her worth — this is your reminder: you are more powerful than you think.

And a special dedication to Yanira and Vanessa. I love you but God loves you more.
