The timing of Hispanic Heritage Month is especially meaningful—it begins on September 15 to honor the independence anniversaries of several Latin American nations, including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, followed closely by Mexico’s independence on September 16 and Chile’s on September 18. It’s a moment that bridges generations, reminding us where we come from and how far we’ve come and for that reason we celebrate year-round.
