Miami-Dade County Parks is bringing back their much-awaited annual arts summer camp for girls. The camp is an annual event that will mark its 13th season this year and remains popular with girls aged 6-14.

What the camp offers participants

The camp has been offering some incredible training and mentorship opportunities for over a decade now, serving young girls and teens in the community through unique opportunities. The award-winning G.E.M. (Girls Empowerment and Mentoring) Art Summer Camp is being hosted at the Roxcy O'Neal Bolton Women's History Gallery at The Women's Park (10251 W Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33172) in Miami and lasts for a total of 6 weeks.

Participants will be able to interact with talented professionals from various arts backgrounds while being allowed to express their feelings, thoughts, and emotions and different challenging situations that will prepare them well beyond other platforms.

It features multicultural settings and events, a diverse faculty and skill development, plenty of activities and events, and training in language, performance, and visual arts for an all-around experience.

The G.E.M. is an extension of The Women's Park itself, which has been around for nearly three decades as a safe space for women in the community.
