On Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 1-2 p.m., Arcola Lakes Senior Center, 8401 NW 14 Ave., Miami, will host The Keys to Safe Mobility for Life Workshop, aimed at helping older adults remain safe, independent, and active in the community. The activity is free and presented by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department’s Active Older Adults program and Health and Fitness Division in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Safe Mobility for Life program.
Topics for discussion will include:
- Understanding the impact aging has on driving.
- Being productive about safe driving skills.
- Planning for a safe transition from driving.
Participants will walk away with resources to help them stay safe and mobile for life!
