Stranger Things have been known to happen in Downtown Miami, but this October 28, Downtown Fright Night will bring Halloween to the neighborhood with tricks, and treats, and eats for ALL.
The entire family is invited to Downtown Miami starting at 3PM for a day filled with magic shows, music, games, face painting, a bounce house, and a costume contest. This is the best place for little witches, headless ghosts, and groaning zombies to show off their costumes, collect their treats or dispense their tricks. Downtown Fright Night will put the most haunting fun into one daytime celebration, only to then spin itself into an adult, nighttime, Halloween experience!
Take a stroll up Flagler street to explore The Haunted Market featuring jewelry, gadgets, art, accessories, clothes, and trendy snacks from Miami and Downtown’s best artisan pop-up shops. While shopping, kids can trick or treat for toys and candy at the same stops. The Stranger Things Family Fun Zone will offer fun for the little ones from 3pm until Sundown. Filled with magic shows, live music, games, science, face painting, arts and crafts, and a bounce house, this fun zone comes with a costume contest. The Pup-Up Dog Park is just a few steps away, allowing fur babies to have their fun including a doggie costume contest! In addition, there will be a live theatrical appearance of Hansel + Gretel by Miami City Opera and special features by Miami Children’s Museum. For those brave souls who dare to take the hour-long Paranormal DuPont Zine Tour, they’ll be accompanied by a professional paranormal investigator to explore the poltergeist activity, ghost sightings, and other darker mysteries of the historic DuPont Building. Space is limited and RSVP is required for this tour.
Downtown Fright Night is a partnership with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), bringing fun and awareness to the area. So, be sure to come hungry, because there will be food stations set up by Downtown eateries, and some of our favorite food trucks. Save room for a specialty spooky cocktail, and artisan desserts.
Catering to adults alike, The Upside Down is where grown-ups can play and party into the late night with DJ Laz.
At the Bacardi Be-Witched Bar, a witch will cast spells, while partiers enjoy a specialty cocktail. The HITS 97.3 stage will stream classic horror movies, while Miami’s favorite Radio DJs spin the music. As midnight approaches, the one and only DJ LAZ, and a dance performance by Miami’s VIXEN ARMY will take the stage, just in time to crown the winners of the adult costume contest.
