Reggaeton singer Ozuna makes a cameo in the first animated feature film "Tom and Jerry" which opened in theaters and HBO Max on February 26, 2021.
The Puerto Rican artist Ozuna grew up watching the cat and the mouse on television, and now we can see him in the movie with a small participation.
"It's an amazing thing for me, a great opportunity. I grew up with Tom and Jerry and I always loved watching them. Their show was always fun and it always made me feel good, being in the movie reminds me of that moment. It's great how everyone can enjoy them,” Ozuna said according to a press release.
As a good fan, Ozuna arrived at Warner Bros. Studios located in Leavesden, UK, in the summer of 2019 wearing a Tom and Jerry t-shirt before donning his outfit to perform.
Ozuna is very excited to share his passion for these childhood characters with his children Sofía and Jacob, the fruits of his union with Taina Meléndez.
Ozuna, 28, is a Latin trap and reggaeton singer who has won several music awards, including two Latin Grammys.
Among his best-known songs are "Te Vas"(you leave), "Dile que Tu me Quieres"(tell him you love me), "En la intimidad"(in privacy), and "El Rompecorazones"(the heartbreaker).
He has performed duets with Chayanne, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Romeo Santos, and Yandel.
The movie "Tom and Jerry" is a combination of animation and live actors. It stars Michael Peña, Chloë Grace Moretz, Colin Jost, Rob Delaney, and Ken Jeong.
Other significant actors in the movie include Nicky Jam, Pallavi Sharda, Jordan Bolger, Patsy Ferran, Bobby Cannavale, and Lil Rel Howery.
The movie "Tom and Jerry" tells of Jerry, the mouse, moving into the fanciest hotel in New York City on the eve of the wedding of the century. This forces the event planner to hire Tom, the cat, to get rid of him.
The battle that rages between the cat and the mouse threatens to destroy the event planner's career, the wedding, and even the hotel. But soon another worse problem arises: an evil and ambitious employee who conspires against all three.
The film is directed by Tim Story and produced by Chris DeFaria. It was written by Kevin Costello, who was based on the characters created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
"Tom and Jerry" will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
