Our Community Cares made possible by Levine Cava is a series that highlights the COVID-19 impacts and assistance available.
County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava recently launched Our Community Cares—Live, a series of live community conversations to discuss how COVID-19 is impacting local communities and the resources available to help.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday the conversations take place virtually at 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. via Facebook Live. They will feature experts educating us on a variety of issues related to the coronavirus pandemic. There will be important information and resources to assist and participants are encouraged to engage by asking questions and sharing experiences.
To join the conversation, go to Facebook Live on the @CommisisionerCava page at 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
“There is no doubt that the crisis our community is facing today is unprecedented,” said Commissioner Levine Cava.
“Not only do we need decisive action from our leaders, we need to share critical and timely information with our residents and local businesses.”
Previous conversations have covered topics ranging from small business and employee resources to public health and community policing during these uncertain times. Each one is recorded and can be watched on YouTube. With each engagement different things that are useful for the community are brought to light. Now it is more important then ever to provide resources for the community that they can both benefit from and relate to.
We are living very uncertain times in which we need to stick together so that the overwhelming feeling of helplessness doesn't settle in. Our Community Cares is a very good way of doing just that.
