Do you have time to volunteer? Do you like plants and want to learn more about gardening? Do you like to help others by sharing your gardening knowledge? Become a Master Gardener volunteer for UF/Miami-Dade County Extension! Join this elite group of dedicated gardeners, helping others solve their plant problems.

UF/IFAS Miami-Dade Extension is hosting two free preview sessions about the Master Gardener Volunteer program.  The sessions will take place Friday, August 3, 2018, starting at 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, August 7, 2018, starting at 10 a.m., at the UF/Miami-Dade Extension office at 18710 SW 288 St., Homestead. Registration is not required

Attending one of the preview sessions is highly recommended to be accepted into this volunteer program.


If you are selected to take the Master Gardener training (limited seating), you will be notified about the class schedule. Classes begin in September and are held once a week for 11-12 weeks. Volunteer opportunities are available at our Homestead office, and at other sites throughout the county.
