Simply Healthcare and Healthcare Advocate, NBA Legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson to join the City of Hialeah to celebrate opening of newly renovated Domino Room at Goodlet Adult Center.
WHAT: Simply Healthcare is excited to announce that NBA Champion and Healthcare Advocate, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, participated in a special ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated “Simply Healthcare Domino Room” in the Goodlet Adult Center in Hialeah. Mayor Carlos Hernandez and the City Council joined Simply Healthcare executives and Magic Johnson on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. as they dedicated this new activity area where seniors can play dominos and participate in health-related events, services and educational programs.
“Simply Healthcare is proud to partner with Mayor Hernandez and the City of Hialeah to benefit the overall well-being of older adults in the community. We know this Center is almost like “home” to many seniors and we’re honored to have the opportunity to renovate the room so they can continue to have fun with friends and stay actively engaged,” said Carlos A. Fernandez, Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Simply Healthcare.
“The new Simply Healthcare Domino Room at the Goodlet Adult Center is the first visible result of our new partnership with Simply Healthcare,” said Mayor Carlos Hernandez. “ It is our goal to improve the health of the elderly in our community by keeping them active and enjoying the things they love - like dominos.
