The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department has been selected to receive the Florida Bicycle Association (FBA) 2017 Supporting Agency of the Year Award, for it's dedicated efforts to promote bicycling.
FBA will present the award to Miami-Dade Parks during the Miami-Dade Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting, on Tuesday, May 22, at 5:30 p.m., at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, Room 18-4.
Becky Afonso, FBA Executive Director said in her notification to Miami-Dade Parks: “Your efforts and achievements for bicyclists is shaping our vision for Florida to be a state where bicycling is safe, respected, and encouraged as a means of transportation and recreation.”

Miami-Dade Parks Director Maria Nardi said: “It is a great honor for Miami-Dade Parks to receive the prestigious FBA award and be acknowledged for our dedicated efforts to promote bicycling.
