Cuban Cocktails: Ready, Steady, Drink!
Cuban cocktails are prepared and served in almost every bar and club all over the world. What's making them so loved are the fresh ingredients, the unique flavour of the Cuban rum and how all elements are harmoniously combining resulting a delicious experience.
Beside the famous Cuba Libre, Mojito and Pina Colada, we prepared for you a list with other tasteful Cuban cocktails.
Daiquiri
Daiquiri is made with rum, grenadine (pomegranate syrup), Maraschino, lemon juice, sugar and ice. There are also many variations of this drink like Daiquiri Floridita, Hemingway Daiquiri. If you want something fruity you can try the Banana Daiquiri or the Strawberry Daiquiri.
Cubanito
Usually served as an appetizer, Cubanito is prepared with rum, lime juice, tomato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar salt and ice.
Saoco
This cocktail contains coconut water, rum, lime juice, sugar and ice. Sometimes it is served from a coconut shell.
El Presidente
A fancy combination of vermouth, rum, grenadine, lemon juice, Curacao and ice. It is decorated with orange peel and a cherry.
Havana Loco
Havana Loco is made with white rum, pineapple juice, Maraschino and ice. Usually garnished with a tropical fruit (orange or pineapple).
Crema de vie
It is also called the Cuban Eggnog and it is made with egg yolk, condensed milk, sugar syrup, vanilla and rum. This cocktail is a little more complicated to prepare than the others because you have to use the stove.
Tigre Volador
Dark rum, dry vermouth and grenadine, mixed together and poured over some crushed ice.
Culto a la vida
This sweet cocktail is prepared with rum, cranberry juice, lime juice and sugar.
Fruit punch
Nothing more refreshing than a combination of pineapple juice, apple cider, red grapes, lemon juice, rum and crushed ice. If you remove the liquor from the mixture, this cocktail could be suitable for children too.
Cuban Mango Rum Punch
A delicious fusion of mango juice, lime juice, dark rum, triple sec and sugar.
