CAMP KESEM TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL S’MORES DAY AT 21 CAMPSITES ON AUGUST 10!
Camp Kesem is proud to continue the tradition of celebrating National S’mores Day with activities at 21 Camp Kesem sites across the country – bringing fun to thousands of campers and counselors and raising awareness to Kesem’s mission which supports the over 5 million children in our country who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer. National S’mores Day is Thursday, August 10, 2017.
The Official Sponsor of National S’ mores Day is Camp Kesem – the country’s largest provider of free camping services to children impacted by a parent’s cancer.Fun, energetic media opportunities are available at 21 Camp Kesem sites on August 10!
Celebrations include a “S’mores Obstacle Course” where thousands of campers and counselors will compete – and raise awareness for the over 5 million children in our country impacted by a parent’s cancer.
Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates 105 free summer camps in 40 states for children ages 6 to 18 who have been affected by a parent’s cancer. This camping experience and Kesem’s year-round support has a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills. In 2017, Camp Kesem is serving over 7,200 children coast-to-coast – all funded by generous donations from individuals and corporate support.
