Celebrate Earth Day at the 35th Anniversary of Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day on April 22

Residents are invited to be part of the largest shoreline cleanup in South Florida. The Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day is on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9 a.m. to noon.

This year marks Baynanza’s 35th year, and will bring together the community to help restore and clean Biscayne Bay’s shoreline.  We are focusing our efforts at more than 20 locations. Volunteers at all the sites will receive a free commemorative T-shirt. All volunteers will eligible to receive community service hours credit for participating. There will  be entertainment, music, food and engaging environmental activities for the volunteers to enjoy. This will take place at this years main cleanup site is  Matheson Hammock Park, 9610 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, Florida.

The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, Division of Environmental Resources Management, organizes this event with support from sponsors and other County agencies every year in April.
