Join Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 for an all-day conference designed to bring men to the forefront of movement to end domestic violence.

We are calling on all good-intentioned, well-meaning men from across Miami-Dade County to participate in the anti-violence community conference and become leaders in supporting men and boys in the elimination of violence, especially violence against women. Interactive workshops led by national experts will explore the root causes of violent behavior and the responsibility that men have in stopping it.”This conference brings together the diverse community of men to safely discuss their role in the elimination of violence against women,” says CAHSD Director Lucia Davis-Raiford. “Through whatever role they play, whether it be as a youth sports coach, religious leader, teacher, husband or father, men leave the conference equipped with the tools they need to become our strongest advocates for putting an end to violence, particularly violence against women and girls.”

The conference will be held at the University of Miami, Donna Shalala Student Center. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please register online. For more information, contact Ivon Mesa at (305) 285-5906.
